I find WebQuest a bit of a wonder. I'm not a teacher and I have never used it as a student... time will tell if I think it useful. (my opinion of course).
I think that one of the things that we didn't make clear in the class is that a WebQuest can be any document or website that helps communicate about / organize a curricular activity. I think the quality of the webquest depends on the quality of the design of the unit.
If you are interested in making a webquest useful, start with a good plan for a lesson or unit, and ue the WebQuest as a meas of communicating about the structure of the unit and how digital resources can help facilitate participants' activities.
